When I ponder the amazing story of Joseph who was sold a slave into Egypt and think about the terrible injustices that many suffer in life, I look to Joseph's example for purpose in suffering, the grace of forgiveness, and an eternal perspective that shows the good we can do in any circumstances.
"I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God."
Genesis 45:4,7-8
