With Great Power, Minister

This week as we've been reading in the New Testament, I was impressed again by the great love our Savior has for us and his example of loving and ministering to others.  The most powerful person to ever walk this earth, Jesus Christ could have reigned in personal glory on the earth.  Instead, he associated with the downtrodden and outcast, blessed the sick and afflicted, washed the feet of weary travelers, and taught us all to love and serve one another.

Whosoever will be great among you,
  let him be your minister;
And whosoever will be chief among you,
  let him be your servant:
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but
  to minister, and
  to give his life a ransom for many.
 - Matthew 20:26-28

Yea, and if it had not been for his matchless power, and his mercy, and his long-suffering towards us, we should unavoidably have been cut off from the face of the earth long before this period of time, and perhaps been consigned to a state of endless misery and woe.
 - Alma 9:11
