Go Quickly

I've been impressed this week by the diligent heed that Mary and Mary paid to the invitation of the angel at the Savior's tomb (Matthew 28:1-9).  Their obedience allowed them to witness evidence of His resurrection followed by the opportunity to see and embrace Him.

I believe this is a pattern for all of us.  Diligent obedience to God's servants will lead us to evidence of the living Christ and will eventually lead us to the Savior himself.  And we see examples of this throughout the Book of Mormon and all the scriptures.

 5 And the angel answered….
 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him….
 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
- Matthew 28

 2 I perceive that thou art a sober child, and art quick to observe;
- Mormon 1
